Ron’s Monthly Walk on January 17th

Commencing at the Taylors Lakes Car park, with (6) six brave souls heading off with the temperature at 12°, and let me tell you, the temperature only become colder as we approached Mt. Macedon. The Memorial Cross was shrouded in low lying cloud and the ground underneath was damp. But all the plants, trees and bush looked great due to the recent rain.

Obviously before the walk, we started with the customary morning tea in the lovely café at the top of Mount Macedon, good service and good products, including an empty bird cage which Jenny Barratt could not resist.

As well as the Mt. Macedon Memorial Cross, we went to the Camels Hump, Sanatorium Lake and finished with lunch at the Trading Post.

Great day was had by all and the bush was in good shape.

Thank you Ron, you was an excellent leader as usual.
