2021 – A New Year – A New Start – Club Update and Newsletter

Happy New Year members.

Its a new year and we again are able to have our full general meeting at the Taylors Lakes Hotel. The first meeting for the year is on Monday 25th Janurary 2021!

PROBUS COVID rules will be in compliance with the latest Victorian Government requirements.
When we attend a function the event organiser/business must maintain a COVID-Safe plan.

When we initiate a Probus trip/event then we are to ensure we are COVID-Safe, maintain an attendance register with contact phone numbers and at a minimum maintain social distancing, wear face masks and use hand sanitiser.

Now some headlines.

Newsletter

The editor has advised he will be reducing the newsletter to just the basics effective this month. He advised the following:

We intend to (COVID permitting) get away a bit with the new campervan, as a result I may not be as available to provide such a full service.  With this in mind, and in an attempt to make it possible for me to continue the task I’m making the following changes.

  • It’s my intention to simplify the newsletter and continue it as an electronic version only.
  • It will be paired back to any important notices and upcoming events. trying to keep it to one double sided page.
  • Starting with this month’s edition,  I will send the minutes separate to the newsletter,  i.e. no longer including them within it.
  • Trip reports and photos etc will be published via the website and facebook.  These can then be published at any time.

If I’m around and have time to make it a bit fancy well that may happen month to month.  However of course if someone else wishes to take this task on, they can organize it as they need.
